Paris Musées museums offer free admission under several conditions. Below are the eligible categories:

  • Job seekers (valid proof required)
  • Minimum social benefit holders
  • Paris City leisure center animators
  • Professional visual artists
  • Members of the “Commission du Vieux Paris”
  • Students at INALCO or the National Heritage Institute
  • Students in Fine Arts, Art History, Architecture, Design, Fashion, Archaeology (France only)
  • Residents of Rome, Paris' sister city
  • Paris Musées Card holders (except for Crypt and Catacombs)
  • Disabled persons (civilian or military) and one accompanying person
  • Accredited guides and lecturers
  • Museum scientific staff
  • Members of AICA (International Association of Art Critics)
  • Members of AIAP (International Association of Plastic Arts)
  • French or foreign journalists
  • Art press union members
  • Tourist office and Paris region tourism staff
  • Maison des Métallos staff
  • Friends of the museum associations
  • City of Paris employees
  • Current or retired elected Paris officials
  • ICOM / ICOMOS members
  • Military personnel in uniform during Bastille Week (skip-the-line access, except Catacombs)
  • Military on “Sentinelle” duty (skip-the-line, except Catacombs)

  • Holders of “Pass Paris Senior” (formerly Navigo Emeraude Améthyste)
  • Teachers of Judicial Youth Protection Services
  • Active teachers (all levels)
  • Members of cultural preservation associations such as Sauvegarde de l’Art Français or Société de l’Histoire de l’Art
